LIVE Committees

Committees are formed to address issues of discussion and to facilitate decision-making. Certain committees are board-member only, but many others include members of LIVE, extension, and the viticulture and enology community. Feel free to contact the LIVE office if you would like to be a part of any of these groups.

Vineyard Certification Technical Committee - Willamette Valley

This committee is comprised of members of the LIVE Board of Directors, vineyard managers, viticulturalist, extension agents, environmentalists, chemistry experts, and educators. It meets regularly to discuss technical issues in the vineyard, including IPM practices, chemistries, and LIVE standards.

Vineyard Certification Technical Committee - Southern Oregon

The Southern Oregon Vineyard Certification Technical Committee formed in 2010 to discuss technical issues in the vineyards of the Rogue and Umpqua Valleys and surrounding areas.

Vineyard Certification Technical Committee - Central and Southern Washington

Vineyard Certification Joint Technical Committee

This working-group is composed of the Chairs of the three regional technical committees as well as representatives from Salmon-Safe and the LIVE Board of Directors. Its purpose is to hold summit meetings to review and codify research, data, and standards to assure regional consistency with LIVE/IOBC/Salmon-Safe protocols.

Vineyard Certification Checklist Sub-Committee

This small working-group is a sub-committee of the Willamette Valley Vineyard Certification Technical Committee. It was formed to annually address feedback and concerns about LIVE standards vis-à-vis the LIVE Checklist. This sub-committee consists of LIVE board members, LIVE inspectors, and vineyard managers.
